Traditionally, the bus stop flag has been seen as the “shop window” equivalent for bus and coach operators. But by the time the customer is at the bus stop, they have already decided to travel by bus in most cases. High quality bus stop information is still important, but modal shift from car to bus requires accurate and useful information to be provided to would-be passengers in advance.
A well designed and frequently updated website is the first step towards high quality advanced information. We can design an attractive multipage website containing timetable information, a fares calculator, a contact form and the opportunity to add news stories and disruption information. We use off-the-shelf code and a standard layout to control costs, but we brand the website in your house colours with your logo.
Online booking systems
If you operate express coach services, provide private hire, or sell tickets for day excursions or coach holidays, an online booking system can also be integrated into your website. This offers passengers a seamless experience, from finding the journey they wish to make right the way through to a successful booking. Your administration is also eliminated; you choose the passenger details you want to collect, and these are captured electronically. A secure back of house system then allows the data to be downloaded in whatever format works best for you, including Excel files or customised PDF documents.
Although every website we produce is mobile optimised, an app is a great way to increase customer engagement and make the journey experience easier. Apps can be personalised to individual customers, allowing them to view historical journey information, and any alerts for upcoming trips. An app also allows customers to download timetable and fare information in advance, meaning that it can be used even where the phone does not have a 3G data connection.
